The journey of the Dyslexia Association of Sarawak (DASwk) began in 2004, when a group of passionate individuals came together with a shared vision to support children with dyslexia and learning disabilities in Sarawak. This vision became a reality in 2007 with the official establishment of DASwk, marking the start of a dedicated movement towards awareness, advocacy, and inclusive education.
Since then, DASwk has grown into a recognised and impactful organisation, delivering early detection and intervention programmes, supporting families and educators, and raising public awareness on learning differences. Its efforts have empowered countless children to overcome challenges, build confidence, and realise their full potential.
Today, DASwk continues to champion inclusive education and equitable opportunities, bringing together communities, professionals, and stakeholders to create lasting change. As the organiser of SIDLDC 2026, DASwk stands at the forefront of driving meaningful conversations, collaboration, and progress in the field of dyslexia and learning disabilities.
