Thank you for your interest in submitting a poster to the Sarawak International Dyslexia and Learning Difficulties Conference (SIDLDC 2026). Poster presentations provide an excellent opportunity to disseminate research findings, innovative practices, intervention programmes, and educational initiatives while engaging with researchers, educators, practitioners, policymakers, and other conference participants.

Scope and Eligibility

Poster presentations are open to:

• Academics and researchers

• Postgraduate and undergraduate students

• Teachers and educators

• Therapists and psychologists

• Healthcare professionals

• Non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community organisations

• Government agencies

• Industry practitioners
  
  

Types of Poster Presentations

Submissions may include, but are not limited to:

• Original research

• Pilot studies

• Case studies

• Systematic or scoping reviews

• Best practices

• Innovative intervention programmes

• Community engagement projects

• Educational or assistive technology initiatives

• Policy or programme implementation

Poster Specifications 

• Poster size: A2 (420 mm × 594 mm)

• Orientation: Portrait

• Language: English

• Posters must be professionally printed.

• Presenters are responsible for printing and bringing their own posters to the conference venue.

• The conference organisers will provide the display boards and mounting materials.

Recommended Poster Structure 

Your poster should include the following sections, where applicable:

• Title

• Author(s) and Affiliation(s)

• Introduction or Background

• Objectives

• Methodology

• Results or Findings

• Discussion

• Conclusion

• Practical Implications

• Acknowledgements (optional)

• Key References (3–6 references recommended)

Design Recommendations 

To ensure your poster is visually effective and easy to read:

• Use a clean and professional layout.

• Present information in a logical flow.

• Keep text concise and avoid lengthy paragraphs.

• Use headings and bullet points to improve readability.

• Include relevant figures, charts, tables, photographs, or infographics where appropriate.

• Ensure sufficient contrast between the background and text.

• Avoid overcrowding the poster with excessive information.

• Use high-resolution images and graphics.

Recommended Font Sizes

• Title: 48–60 pt

• Section Headings: 24–32 pt

• Body Text: 18–24 pt

• References: 14–16 pt

These font sizes are recommended to ensure readability from approximately one to two metres away.

Poster Presentation

During the designated poster session, presenters are expected to:

• Display their poster before the scheduled poster session begins.

• Remain at their poster throughout the assigned presentation period.

• Deliver a concise presentation of approximately 3–5 minutes.

• Engage with conference participants and respond to questions from attendees and judges.

Best Poster Awards

• An outstanding poster presentation will be recognised with the Best Poster Award.
